How to use Animoto's script generator
It's very easy! First thing's first, open the template page and select the AI Script Generator in the upper righthand corner of the screen.
Next, choose what kind of video you're creating. This helps the script generator understand the structure, tone, and goals for your video. Your options are as follows:
- Promotional
- Explainer
- Company Overview
- Demonstration
- Event Recap
- Training
- Announcement
- Celebration
- Other
Then enter any additional information you have about your business and the subject of your video. Keep reading for best practices on what sort of information to include, but the TLDR is this - the more detail you can provide, the better.
Click generate script and wait for a moment while the AI does its thing.
Take a moment to review your script. Once you create your project, you can change as much or as little of the script as you'd like in the Animoto editor. Click "Create project" to move your script into a video.
Congratulations! You just saved yourself a whole bunch of time and energy developing a script for your video.

The more information you provide, the more tailored to you the script will be. Don't worry about writing in complete sentences - just provide the details that we'll use to write your script.
Details to include
- The name of your business
- The name of the products, services, or events you're promoting
- Your target audience
- Any unique details, messaging, or selling points that you want to be present in your video
