Your music selection can add a lot to (or detract from) your video. We’ve just made it easier to find the right tracks for your videos with the launch of a new and improved music selector on the web. What makes the new music selector different than the previous version? Let’s dive in and take a look.
The first thing you’ll notice when you enter the new music selector is that you can now see a collection quick hits. “Top songs for this style” contains 5 tracks, hand-picked from our most popular songs, that pair nicely with each style. This offering has been popular with our mobile users, so we’re excited to bring it to web users as well.
Here you can also check out songs that are popular for personal, business, or photography (depending upon what type of account you have), or select from songs that you’ve previously favorited. Don’t see a song you like here? Just click through to browse the full library.
Preview entire songs
The days of 30-second song previews are over. You can now listen to an entire song before selecting it for your video. Click anywhere along to timeline to listen to different parts of the song.
Filter to find what you’re looking for
We’ve made the full music library a lot easier to navigate, too.
You can set filters to browse the entire music library, your Favorites, and, if you’ve purchased a Professional or Business package, our Triple Scoop Music™ selections.
Drill down even further by checking off boxes to indicate whether your video is Personal, Business, Photography, or Education.
Got a specific genre in mind? Check off the boxes under Genre to filter tracks from 23 different genres, including Classical, Country, Electronica, Folk, Hip Hop, Holiday, Jazz, Latin, Oldies, Pop, R&B, Rock, and more.
You can also now filter by song length. Want to make sure the song is long enough to play through your entire video? Just use the “Song Length” filter to find songs within a specific length range.
Have you checked out the new music selector yet? We’d love to hear what you think. Feel free to share your thoughts with us in the comments below.
