ESC_Emergency Sanitation Concept Is a temporary toilet made of cardboard, developed for crises and catastrophe-affected areas. ESC works as an “emergency kit”, containing necessary sanitation products for affected users. After the sanitation products have been taken out of the cardboard “box”, ESC works as a quick and accessible toilet. ESC arrive an area during the first phase after a catastrophe. After four weeks ESC will be replaced with toilets of better hygienic standard. This toilet concept is developed to separate urine and feces in a safe, secure and environmental way. The feces are securely stored inside ESC and will reduce the risks of spreading deceases. After four weeks in the field, ESC can be buried and disintegrate in the ground and will secure a indulgent treatment of the environment.
