We just released two all new styles. Be sure to check them out!
Pinwheels and Things: Released July 2012
Ideal for weddings and special events, Pinwheels and Things delivers a feeling of nostalgia. Inspired by classic personal fans, the goal was to create a style that adds elegance and timelessness to life’s most precious memories. “There’s a lot of planning that goes into these events that actually only last a few hours,” said Lauren Smith, Motion Graphics Designer for Animoto. “Then it’s over. We wanted to create something that preserves the special feelings that come with these special days.”
When you use the style, you’ll notice unique flourishes, little decorations and fans that contribute to the feeling of nostalgia. The typography was chosen to complement the design with a serif script that communicates more of the vintage, classic approach.

Confetti: Released August 2012
“I wanted to create a style that didn’t employ any specific theme and could be used universally for any occasion. It needed to be fun, bright, with the user images remaining in a fixed location in the center so that most of the movement and animation would be the ribbons and confetti around the images,” said Peter Sharp, Motion Graphics Designer for Animoto. “And so we have Confetti!”
“This is a style for fun times. Images of friends and family together will work best for this style. For me, using Confetti helps you remember good times and special moments,” Peter explains. “The typography supports the geometric nature of the ribbon elements and the background. There aren’t any rounded edges in the style and this typography choice has very few soft letter forms. It supports the square and rectangular nature of the style.”
